The Housing Services Program is a service offered to help assist young people just like you who are experiencing homelessness by providing housing and supportive services including help finding a job and learning life skills such as cooking.
If you are 16 to 24 years old, a Tulsa County resident and experiencing homelessness; you meet the initial program requirements.
You meet homeless requirements if you are…
1. Sleeping/Camping Outside
2. Staying at a homeless shelter
3. Sleeping in your Car
4. Couch Surfing (a new place every few days)
5. Staying in an abandoned house/apartment
If you are living with family, you are not considered homeless. If you are struggling in your family’s home – please consider reaching out to a counselor at YST to help with any conflicts that might be making things hard.
Timeframes are unpredictable. We encourage all youth to access our drop-in services to keep staff informed of changes to your living situation, which may impact wait time.
Youth can visit The Station, the YST drop-in center to meet basic needs during the waiting process. The Station is open Monday-Friday, 11am to 4pm. Youth can go anytime to get a hot meal, take a shower, do laundry, etc. during open hours. Click the link below to check out The Station!
